National Volunteer Month: The People Behind the Impact

At CASA of Tarrant County, our work begins, and continues, with people. This National Volunteer Month, we’re celebrating the hundreds of advocates who show up, speak up, and stand in the gap for children in foster care. And as you’ll see on the map below, they come from all across our community.

Different neighborhoods. Different professions. Different life experiences. One shared purpose.

Advocates From Every Walk of Life

CASA volunteers are teachers and retirees, nurses and business owners, parents and young professionals. They are everyday people who step into an extraordinary role—advocating for a child who needs a voice. No special background is required… just compassion, commitment, and the willingness to show up. Because when a child enters foster care, they often face a system filled with constant change. New homes. New schools. New adults. A CASA volunteer becomes something different: a constant.

A Community of Advocates

Each dot on this map represents something powerful: a person who chose to step forward.

Together, CASA volunteers form a network of advocacy that stretches across Tarrant County—meeting children where they are and walking alongside them through some of the most uncertain moments of their lives. They remind us that real change doesn’t come from one place. It comes from a community.

With Gratitude

To every CASA volunteer, past and present, thank you.

Thank you for your time.
For your compassion.
For your consistency.

Because of you, children who have experienced abuse and neglect are not alone, and their stories are not unheard.
