Childhood should be filled with school friends, birthday parties, laughter, and dreams about tomorrow. But for children in foster care, childhood is too often interrupted by uncertainty, trauma, and difficult decisions no child should have to face. 

Your North Texas Giving Day gift will help provide a child in foster care with a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer to stand beside them during the most difficult time in their young life.

Olivia knows what having that person can mean. She entered foster care as a toddler and spent several years waiting to know where she would live, who she could trust, and where she belonged.

Through every hearing, transition, and difficult decision, Olivia had a CASA volunteer by her side. Her CASA got to know her, understood what she needed, advocated for her best interests, and kept showing up as circumstances around her changed.

Eventually, Olivia found the loving family she calls home today. They surrounded her with patience, consistency, and love as she learned to trust again.

Today, Olivia has a big sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and an entire community cheering her on. She competes in gymnastics, laughs, dreams about tomorrow, and gets to simply be a kid.
