Meet Board Member Cory Warmink, MD

We are excited to feature our new Board Member Cory Warmink, MD - Pediatric Emergency Medicine Doctor at Cook Children’s

Do you want to share some encouraging words to our volunteers? Thank you so much for giving your time, energy and compassion to support children through CASA volunteering, you are making a valuable difference in shaping their future.

Why CASA? I am involved in CASA because every child deserves to feel valued and supported. Supporting these children gives them a chance at stability and a foundation to build upon.

What first caused you to get involved with CASA? I first learned about CASA when I was in college, when my sister-in-law served as a Volunteer. I was impressed by how impactful a role she played in the lives of the children she was involved with and knew I would one day support CASA.

What keeps you coming bank every month in helping CASA? The knowledge that CASA makes a direct positive impact on the lives of children that need a voice makes working with CASA worth any time or money spent.

What would you say to a potential supporter? As a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Doctor I have seen how vulnerable and in need the children that CASA serves are. Supporting CASA is a rare opportunity to make a striking impact on a child's wellbeing.

Why do you think it’s important for your local community to support CASA and what they do? There are few opportunities available that will have as dramatic and pure, positive impact on a local child as CASA. This is not a theoretical impact or subtle, and isn't affecting lives far away from us. This is life changing support for children that live in our local communities.
