Melissa Markey is here for a three part series for Collaborative Family Engagement (CFE) of Friday trainings for us here in Fort Worth.

CFE's goal is finding and fostering human connections for children in care.  Sometimes when children come into protective custody, they end up losing all of their interpersonal connections in order to keep the child safe.  Over time, the lack of long term connections can do its own damage to a young one's life. CFE is the process of digging deep to identify those healthy connections and reengage the child with those safe, and healthy people from their past. Topics include Mobility Mapping, Genograms, Connection Tools and Family Meetings.
